The University of Nottingham offers the Vice Chancellor’s International Scholarship for Research Excellence, a very competitive scholarship that recognizes and rewards outstanding international students who apply to study a full-time PhD at the University. They welcome applications from suitable candidates but would particularly value applications from strong candidates wishing to work within the research priority areas of each faculty.

These will be awarded in each year of your three-year PhD, subject to satisfactory progress.
Eligibility criteria for the Vice Chancellor’s International Scholarship:
- Be classed as an international student for fee purposes
- Must hold an offer to start a full-time PhD or MPhil in any subject (excluding engineering) at University of Nottingham UK with a start date that falls on or between 1 October 2020 and 1 February 2021

When you have received your offer to study at the University, you can apply through the scholarships section of their application system, MyNottingham.
Applications will close at midnight (UK time) on Friday 24 April 2020.
Scholarships will only be awarded to students who accept their offer to study at the University. You do not need to respond to your offer before applying for this scholarship. If you are offered a scholarship and do not then accept your offer, your scholarship will be offered to another applicant. This award cannot be combined with another University of Nottingham scholarship or award from your country.
